AEOLUS is Emergent’s high-performance area-scan camera family with integrated H.265 compression. AEOLUS cameras deliver 25GigE-class resolution and framerates while reducing network bandwidth and storage requirements. Built around Sony Pregius S sensors, models provide a range of high-resolution, high frame rate options. Data rates are compressed from 25 gigabits per second to 10 or lower.

AEOLUS compresses images directly inside the camera and features RJ45 Power over Ethernet connectivity that auto-negotiates to 10, 5, 2.5 or 1GigE. This combination brings high-resolution, high-speed imaging to bandwidth-conscious systems for sports analytics, volumetric capture, and other multi-camera applications where immediate processing in the cloud or limiting file sizes is important.
